Cambria Design Palette

Cambria lacked a solid, universal way for all stakeholders to find designs quickly and easily. Collectively, they had many different ways and routes for searching for designs. Some searched by collection, some searched by date released, some by mood such as “cool” or “warm”, etc. So we created the Design Palette that was based upon the success of DragonVision app’s ease of use. We began with the same hue/design slider as our DragonVision app that users love and already knew how to use. Like DragonVision, this hue slider is “geared” in conjunction to the full design slider, so that users can see, in real-time, the thumbnails alongside the full slabs as they scroll. It employs our universal, robust design search tool so that users can easily filter designs based on collection, mood, design style, characteristic, release date, etc.

Our Design Palette shares many of the new universal features such as a three-level zoom tool, a robust search tool, and the ability to see your design in all edges, all sizes, in actual size, in 3D, and compare design finish types side-by-side, etc. Within the first week that it was implemented, it became the most visited page on our site and is second only to DragonVision on time spent per page on site. This remains the case today.
