DragonVision visualizer

Cambria lacked a visualizer, but there was only one third party visualizer at the time, and all competitors were using it. To make things worse, the one, third party visualizer was very limited in what it could do. The 3D graphics that the third party visualizer produced looked badly tiled, dull, and washed out, like cheaply printed CMYK graphics – lacking life and accurate colors, 3D depth and good lighting.

We created a new, much more powerful visualizer that would lead the industry, with the ability to choose two designs and compare them side-by-side in many different angles with a split screen. We gave it the ability to pick your design edge profile at actual size, and compare them side-by-side, close up, and with a split screen as well. The user can also target specific areas, like island, island top tier, back countertop, backsplash, walls, flooring, etc., with different designs, thicknesses and edges to make design combinations. This applies to all paint and cabinet steps as well. It also has a shareable summary page.

In addition, account holders can also split screen/compare completed kitchen builds side-by-side. In creating the DragonVision app, we also created our own 3D graphics department at the same time, so we could ensure that our graphics were vibrant, true-to-life and meticulously accurate. We never use tiles — you only see real, full-movement countertops. We also have an option to view the kitchen in VR. On top of all this, we made animated video backgrounds with slight movement to give you the feeling you are not just modifying a static 2D photo, but rather modifying a real, live environment, as if you are actually there. For example, if you were modifying a hotel lobby, you can see people behind the counters checking customers in and out and occasionally someone walking by as you were configuring the space. Users loved it. DragonVision proved itself as a daily driver of sales.

Our visualizer also gives you the ability to save kitchen builds, modify them later, and transfer the kitchen build and/or design selections to other Cambria applications and third party architectural applications like Moldeller, 2020, Revit, Envision, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Bentley, Vectorworks, etc.
